1. Scan the image/take a picture.

2. Edit

  1. Bump up contrast and brightness. Adjust as needed as with all the following options and not every step is required.
  2. Edit > Level Correction.
  3. Edit > Tonal Curve.
  4. Filter > Remove Dust.
  5. Selection > Select Color Gamut. Select background or color you want to remove. Delete the color.

Dust removal with Remove Dust filter.
Select color gamut and delete background color.

3. Cropping (as needed)

4. Touch up and Color!
